Rose Pixie - Close to finish line

No complaints but these days, I am able to do stitching only on weekends. So the last two days I was working on her hair, wings and legs. God, I have confetti stitching....so many threads to change, and absolutely hate it if Mr Frog visits.  Thank goodness, her hair is done. Now only her hands and face is pending and they she will ready for her final finishes with back stitching and beads.

So here is it.......she still needs to get her glitters. :)

Rose Pixie - Getting her wings

Finally after working on her dress for two weekends, her dress is almost ready with her beads pendings. Now she is slowly getting her wings. Can't wait to get her along soon.

So here she is with her dress and blouse almost done.

Rose - pixie - Getting her dress ready

After taking up a new job in finance, I hardly get time to do household chores (Well trying to get some lame excuse for my laziness). Now I am able to do stitching only on weekends. So this weekend, I have done some more progress on her dress. Seems to be a bit of challenge to do her pink dress though it is lovely especially with pink color variations being so close to each other. Just wanted to get over with her dress before I can move on to her wings, hands, legs and head.

Will be posting a picture of the latest soon. But again most likely my next update will be again on the weekend.

Happy Stitching...... :)

Curtain raiser for Rose Pixie

It has been a while that I did any cross-stitching. Life has been bit busy but still having fun. Obviously facebook Mirabilia group is truly a inspiration for stitching. Now after seeing couple of finishes on the group forum, I decided let me start a new one. Yes.....was working on Spring Queen for a while but now I shelved it as I felt I need a new one to be hanging in my Family room. And what else could be completed fast enough than a Nora Corbett Pixie.

So yesterday I started on the Rose Pixie. But realized one of the threads - 3860 is missing. So in the near future, I might have to make a trip to Michaels or Joanns for that missing thread. I love doing Pixies, they are pretty and at the same time real fast projects. So here is the Rose Pixie after working for couple of hours since yesterday.

Rose pixie - as of 10/21/2012
I am planning to do Holly next. So I guess it is going to take a while before I start again on Spring Queen.

Spring Queen - Moving on slowly

So here is my Spring Queen progress. Have completed most of her yellows below her ribbon. Now moving on to the upper side. Can't seem to visualize her beauty.....I guess it comes out as a suprised once beading is done.

Spring Queen - 8/5/2012
Off to Joannes to buy some stash for my other Pixies - Rose and Holly. Discount sale going on....Yippie.

Spring Queen - Weekend update

I was working on this queen for the last two weekends. Quite impressive with the progress so far. I have to attribute the speed to stiching with two hands(One on top of the fabric and other at the bottom). Was working on the yellows on the bottom left area.

Spring Queen - Woke up from pause mode :)

It has been couple of weeks that I have done any stitching. Got very busy schedules offlate that I didn't have enought time to stitch but I am happy for what I am doing. Finally got some time this weekend and enjoyed working again on Spring Queen and watching movies. Comparing with the last update of Spring Queen, I am pretty happy with the number of stitches I added to her. Worked on her ribbon and more yellows on the bottom left of her dress.

I forgot to take a picture of my latest update of the Queen, and I have to wait for the week end to have the pic taken.

As a side kick, am planning to get the stash for Holly and Rose so that I can work on it while I am on the go. :)

Happy Stitching........ :)

Spring Queen - Going green

Haven't been doing that much of the stitching.....Just few stitches occasionally. However, just wanted to record the status of my "Spring Queen". So here it. I know the stitches are all over the place. Hope they are fit in together(like a zigsaw puzzle). LOL........

Spring Queen - as of 5/2/2012

Sometimes I feel like I need to buy new stash to kit up new projects. But then holding off myself from buying anything new.

On non stitching news update, I wish the weekdays go little slower. Yes I said correctly only. I want the weekdays to pass by slowly but to me it seems like days are racing with time. :(

Happy Stitching..... :)

Little House Neighbourhood - Will it be my next WIP

Off late I have been stitching only Mira / Nora projects and no doubt I enjoy them. But recently the wind is blowing towards Little House Neighbourhood. Am thinking whether I should place the order or wait until 4 of them that are in pipeline are complete / close to complete. (Spring Queen, Holly, Rose and Bluebell Pixie).

I will have to hold this off until then I guess. But in case I have to order any more stash from 123 stitch, then LHN might diffently be added to the shopping cart. So tempted get the pattern and fabric home.

BTW, on the Spring Queen updates, the more I wanted to stitch a different color , the more I get into stitching the greens. Now pretty close to completing the solid greens on half of her dress that I can move on to different color. Pictures will be posted soon. The stitches on the Spring Queen are all over the place. I pray that they all aligh together. Hate to frog the work and can't leave the pattern knowing the mistake so obvious.

Hope regular bloggers of my site are enjoying knowing updates from my end.

Happy Sitching......:)

Bunny Baby - Final makeover

My first reaction looking at the frame was "WOW"........Really too cute and I am glad it came out good. Made this for my little baby(sis's son) - Nirav.

Bunny Baby - 2012 Finish

Happy Stitching....... :)

Spring Queen - Tired of stitching the greens

The last three days I have been stitching the greens on the left side of the dress that now I am too tired to do any more green. So for a change I started working on her dress lace with a nice lavender color (which infact is eye pleasing after seeing so much greens the last couple of days).

Now I am wondering how the heck in this world will I be able to do all those yellowish greens on her dress.....Hum......I guess this project is going to be on and off the shelf once I start doing her yellows.....Anyhow, I will post of picture of her once I complete her dress lace.

On a side note, after reading some of the experiences of the stitchers in Mirabilia Facebook group, even I tried to stitch with two hands, left hand on the top and right hand on the bottom of the fabric, and couldn't believe how fast it is. Also by stitching like that, my hands, fingers and back are not getting as sore as they used to be while I was stitching with one hand. Now I don't feel like stitching with one hand. :)

Happy Stitching.....:)

Spring Queen - update on her dress

Last weekend I was able to do quite a bit of stitching on Spring Queen - Especially left side of her dress and the ribbons. My stitching was all over the place and was literally praying that the ends meet with out the need for frogging.

Luckily, so far it is going good. So here is the update that I have so far.

Spring Queen - working on her ribbon

Got bored doing her face and neck and to top it, I ended frogging all her face. :( So moved on to her dress and was working on her ribbon. Enjoyed working on those satin ribbons.......

Happy Stitching...... :)

Spring Queen - A little more progress

Yesterday and today I did little bit stitching on Spring Queen. Almost done half her face and realized I was off by one row to the left. Huh....can't take chances to cover it up......so will have to frog her face. :(

Here is what I have so far. This pic was taken before I did the neck line and face.

Sleeping Beauty - Final Makeover

Finally I got my "Sleeping Beauty" back from Michaels and am super excited to see it hanging in my front room. Coolest thing is that my DH appreciated seeing the framed piece. (This is something unusual and obviously that added more to my excitment.

So here it is......my first Mira that I started.

Sleeping Beauty - Started 6/2006 and completed on 1/2012.

Michaels - Another setback

I decided I will NOT go get any of my framing done at Michaels. One with 60% discount, the prices are exorbitant. Second, there are not many choices for the frames. Third, they never hand over the framed piece on time. And it really sxxxxs.

I have given my Sleeping Beauty for framing some time mid of last month with a 2 week estimated delivery date. Now it is more than 4 weeks and the piece is still lying on their work desk and that kills me. Decided no more Michaels........ :(

On a positive side, I got the treasures for three of the Pixies - Holly, Rose and Bluebell. Now I need to buy the DMC threads and then they are ready to start. :) 1-2-3 Stitch best online delivery service so far that I have experienced. Definitely will recommend any one who wants to get their stash delivered to home.

Cinderalla - Final Makeover

Evening Prim rose pixie - Final Makeover

Here is the framed piece of the Evening PrimRose Pixie. The pic does no justice to the finished piece in real. I have gifted this to my cousin sis(my sis's co-sis) and has now reached its final destination - Finland. I am glad I am able to take a final look at it before it left to Finland.

Stash for 3 more pixies on way

Today I have ordered the fabric (32ct Antique White Jobelan), Krenik and Mill Hill Beads for Holly, Rose and BlueBell Pixies from 123 stitch. When I get a deal in Michaels, I will go shop for the DMC threads.

Hopefully this will be end of my stash buying for this year. I will be lucky enough if I can complete these 3 pixies and the Spring Queen (Mira WIP) by end of this year. Planning to gift the pixies one each for my MIL and for my sis MIL and the rest for my self. Let me see how it goes.

Welcome Chinna

I am glad to share the good news. My little sis has delivered a cute little baby boy on 4/3/2012 @ 7:38PM(I am calling him "Chinna" until he is given a name). So happy that I am literally short of words. Can't wait to see him and hold him in my hands. Yeppiee....

Nani is so excited on becoming a "Big Brother" and says that he is ready to feed the baby, change the diaper and do everything for the baby now that he is a big brother. Well Nani is now close to 5 yrs but behaves much elder. Ha ha ha.

Spring Queen - Working on hands and sleeves

I thought I should not stitch until I reach my goal but then the stress levels are too much that I feel like stitching as a sort of stress reliever. So today I have been working on Spring Queen's hands and Sleeves. Here is an update on the queen. Actually I did a little bit more that what the picture is showing. :)

Oh my framing costs

Yes today I went to Michaels to get the framing done for Sleeping Beauty and Waterlily(Couldn't wait to see them hang on my wall).....And OMG with 60% discount and without matting, I still felt the price to be way too much beyond my budget. (Fortunately my husband was not around while I was billing). I guess I will have to seriously look for local framers who can do a better job but at an affordable price.

Anyhow, now that I ordered the framing, am eagerly waiting for how the framed pieces are going to look like. It is going to be 2 more weeks of waiting.

Happy Stitching.....:)

March 21, 2012

A quick tweet

Just got a message from my sis that the Evening Primrose(for my co-sis from Finland) and Bunny Baby(for my sis) are with the framer. And they should be collecting them by next Thursday. Can't wait to see how the finished pieces will look like.

Thanks Tracy for suggesting one good framer who offers beautiful work at a much affordable prices . My sis became a big fan of his framing(Cinderalla) that she went and placed the order for these two projects today. And it seems he gave some good combination of color choices for matting and frame. Now two more(Sleeping Beauty and Water lily) are already lined up for framing. Unless I find some framer here in California, I might end up framing my pieces from this framer only.

Happy stitching........ :)

Pixies charts to kit up

Now that I have charts for Rose, Holly, Tigerlily and Sweet Pea pixes, I might start collecting the stash for these pixies soon....Well not really, I don't think I want to start any new project until I finish my Spring Queen. I guess I am better at being a serial stitcher rather than round robin stitcher as my inspiration to do more stitching doubles seeing the finished pieces.

Any how, for some time, I will be in the sleep mode w.r.t to stitching. I guess I need to stop looking at the Facebook group as well as it influences me a lot to do more stitching. And I cannot afford to have that influence at this point of time...... :)

Until then Happy stithcing...... :)

Spring Queen - WIP now in progress

Now that the Waterlily pixie is out of my way, I will be working on Spring Queen. This is the only WIP right now on hand. Probably when I get some time and chance, might collect the stash for Holly and Tigerlily pixies. Until then it will be only Spring Queen progress.

So here is what I have so far. This is one of my favorites (well that's a lie....pretty much all of the Miras or Nora Corbett's patterns are my favorites). Eager to get this finished, framed and decorated on my wall......

Thah Dhah......my Waterlily is now ready to go for some final makeover(framing). Super excited to do this Pixie. Started on 3/12/2012 and completed on 3/18/2012 - surprisingly completed this in just 6 days.

Waterlily is almost reaching its finish line. Little bit more gaps to be filled by DMC 553 and then will be moving on to back stitch and beading.....Yeh.....Can't wait to get her done and framed. Most likely this might be my first Mira / Nora Corbett hanging on my wall......Super excited. :)

Waterlily - Some more progress

Have worked on the pixie today and did quite a bit......Almost done with the wings except that I need to fill in the whites.....Planning to replace it with light pink(DMC 819). Wonder how it will come. I really am loving to stitch this pixie. So far it is pretty easy and fast moving pixie. Next will be her legs, hands and face. :)

Waterlily - Day one effort

Here is the update from one day's stitching. I know I should be doing something else than stitching but the pattern seems to be so tempting that I started off on this one yesterday itself after kitting up. Facebook group is another bad influencer on me for stitching. The more I see the finished patterns, the more feel like wanting to see how mine will turn out to be. So here is the sneak peak of the day one effort. Colors are much brighter than seen in the pic. Seems to be a relatively easy pattern.

Waterlily - Curtain raiser

Now moving on to my second pixie(this is for self). Kitted up the required stash and realized that I am missing one DMC thread - 553. And the fabric (suggested one - 32 ct Antique White Jobelan) is ready. All I need to start stitching.

When I did the floss toss, the colors are really bright. Hoping to see this pixie shape up soon. Once this is done, then I will pick up Spring Queen (A relatively huge project) as there is nothing more in pipeline that I have kitted up.

Happy Stitching..... :)

Evening Primrose - Happy Dance

Thah...Dhah......Introducing my first pixie - Evening Primrose. Beads on this pattern truely transformed the pixie to a whole new level. Just amazing to see the finished one.......Yeppiee....

Evening Primrose - Moving on to fun part

I know I haven't been into stitching on a regular basis......I wish I can spend more time on stitching but my attention is now deviated on a much important matter that I hardly do stitching.

So the last few days I am able to put few more stitches(I really hated doing white on white - her dress) and now I am left with the fun part - back stitching and beading. Few more hours and I think I should be done with my first pixie.  Even interesting is that during my rencent travel to Phoenix, I did almost 4 hours of stitching on this pixie either waiting in the airport lounge or on the airport. Wow.....surprisingly did a lot than expected during this time. I guess I can plan something like this during my future visits. :)

So here is the pic I have so far.......... Do you see any problem with her next line. I missed to add one row to her neck and realized it after doing all her face and hair. If I have to correct this, I have to frog her whole face and redo......I will try to add the backstitch and see how it looks (atleast for now I tend to leave it as is.)

Stitching and Frogging

I attempted to add some stitches to Evening Primrose pixie. Almost completed her hand, next line and face. Just started on her wings and realised that I have to frog some of her right wing. :(. So put aside the stitching for today knowing that I have to frog it.

Well I realized a pattern of my frogging. When I try to jump few stitches away with no connection to what I am already doing, in most cases I end of frogging as I might be off by one or two lines. And I never dared to cover the misaligned portion unless it is one or two stiches. But if it is a patch of work, I prefer to frog it and redo than covering it up.

Any how, Primrose is s a much simpler and smaller patter and is going quite good. I have a chart and fabric for Water lily. Once I am done with Evening Primrose, I will start Waterlilty. I love to do patterns that have bright colors and Waterlily is one of them. Now browing 123 stitch to get the order placed for Waterlily stash.....Yippie.......

Evening Primrose Pixie - My first Pixie

So off late have been busy myself setting things in the new home, lots of house hold shopping and in the middle of the job front that I am not really doing any stitching. (Just didn't want myself to be distracted from the most important things that have been long pending)

Today I did some of the stitching on the Evening Primrose pixie and did her legs and sandles. For some reason, I am not too convinced with work on her legs (eventhough stictched it as per the chart). Her legs seem to be bit out of shape near the knee.....So did some Kreinik to see whether it fills the gap but still the defects seems obvious. Hope it will NOT be too obvious after the whole work is done.

Here is the update that I have so far.......

Settling down in the new home and new city

Still taking time to settle down in the new home with bare mandatory things around while the rest of the things including car are still in the transit. Love the new home. The sun roof on the top in the kitchen and the little patio area that is good enough for some gardening. So very different from my old place.

So my mandatory things include the Evening Primrose kit that I just started (one day of work is in). Planning to complete the pattern by end of this month as I am gifting it to one of my cousins who is visiting us from Finland. Will post the pics of the latest update once all my things are out.

Upcoming move

Only few days back it is confirmed that we are relocating......Very very excited as this new palce is my dream place to be. Nice and much warmer weather than here in Chicago. Eagerly waiting to settle down in the new city.

Just started on the Evening Primrose. Stitched for one day. Will post the pic soon. But now my stitching will be on a hold for some weeks until we settle in our new home.

Happy Stitching.

Michaels - A bit disappointed

So today on my way back to home after grocery shopping, had a stop over at Michaels hoping that I will buy all the required stash for Evening Primrose pixie and some missing threads for Spring Queen.  I have to say that I am bit disappointed as the store seems almost like a close out one and the DMC floss was tossed all over. And most of the colors are NOT available. :( Hobby Lobby is much better,.....I walkin, grab the floss from the specific numbered box and walk out. 5 min and I am done. But in Michael, I have to verify whether I picked the right floss or not. After all this, I still need some more floss for both Evening Primrose and Spring Queen. So planning to go to Hobby Lobby to get the missing one.

Happy Stitching.......

Wow.....the flowers are coming out good

So yesterday night and today morning was able to add few more stitches and the flowers look so very beautiful....Aren't they?

Spring Queen - 1/19/2012

Yesterday, my Evening Primrose pixie material was delivered. Now I need to go buy the DMC thread but I guess I will wait for some time before I start working on this project. I am still contemplating on whether I should go for the whites or replace the whites with something pale in color.

Frogging doing flowers

Now I know why I am bit resistant to pick any patterns that have flowers. I guess I am bad at counting the flower patterns. Recently have been working on the flower bouquet in the Spring Queen but ended up frogging for almost every color that I stitched. Next time I will think twice before picking the pattern (priority for those with minimal floral work).

So after some stitching and frogging and stitching, was able to do 3 petals and little of greenary in the flower bouquet in Spring Queen.  I guess I am spending too much time stitching while there are some other high priorty tasks at hand. Have to slow down on my stitching for few days (hope it will NOT be weeks).

Happy Stitching..............

Spring Queen - Curtain Raiser

Now that the Sleeping Beauty is out of my way, I started on my third Mira project -  Spring Queen. Was tempting to start on this piece the moment I kitted up but held off until I finished Sleeping Beauty.  After doing Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, Spring Queen seems to be little smaller. Just love the colors on this pattern.

So here is the pic after around 8 hours of effort.  (My apologoes for the bad light effect (black shade in bottom center)

Spring Queen - Started on 1/16/2012

Tah....Dah.......Here comes "Sleeping Beauty"

So Ladies....here comes "Sleeping Beauty" one last time before it goes for its final make over (framing). This has been a very very long pending project - started in July 2006 and ended in Jan 2012.....almost 5.5 years.

Sleeping Beauty - 1/15/2012
Ok......though I am really really excited to present the final display, I should say the pattern is only 99.9% complete. Yep...that is true. I am short of around 30 beads or so and you can see that gap on the left just above the border (between the two shades of blue beads). I have to order Mill Hill Beads now to fill that gap. Will have to wait until I make my next order from 1-2-3 stitch.

Oh no.....fell short of few beads on the left just above the border
Now will be moving on to my third Mira project - Spring Queen.

Happy Dancing and Happy Stitching.

Evening Primrose Spring Garden Pixie - Order on its way

OMG.....The Mira facebook group is teaching me a lot more things. I haven't known so far about the Nora Corbett designs. I was under the impression that Mirabilia designs are the only designs of Nora Corbett.....Now I found a whole new set of beautiful fairies. And I just ordered Evening Primrose Spring Garden Pixie chart from 123 stitch.

Planning to do one for my cousin. If I am satisfied with one, then I am planning to do one more of the same design for me (Seems like a simple but beautiful pattern).

I better have to stop watching the facebook group else I might end up buying lot more stuff than needed. :)

Happy Stitching........

Sleeping Beauty - update

Thanks to the lap frame....I am able to finish quite a bit of beading work on the princess dress....Doesn't seem to be lot of work but actually it is. Took almost 5 hours just to finish the beading on her dress. Still some more (towards the bottom left is pending)......Yeppiee...I am getting closure to completion.

A closure look at the beading - that's a lot....Phew.

So here is the status of the Princess.....She looks gorgeous.

Little bit of beading on her dress - 1/12/2012

Lap frame - a must for cross stitch lovers

So yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby to buy DMC threads for Spring Queen. Tempted and sort of exhausted doing the bead work on Cinderella and now for Sleeping Beauty with a hoop, thought I will try out a lap frame.....(Never used it before nor never saw it before). Got a smaller one for 10$ and fitted on it the Sleeping Beauty....Ofcourse have to struggle a bit to understand how to attach the fabby to the lap frame as I was afraid I might spoil the thread work.

Have to agree that I just loved the lap frame. It made the beading so comfortable that I was able to do quite a bit of beading on the princess.

For all those cross stitch lovers who do not have a lap frame, believe me you have got to have one to feel the difference. Just makes life so easy.

Happy Stitching. :)

Sleeping Beauty - race started

Have been tossing around whether to finish Sleeping Beauty or start on Spring Queen. Spring Queen has got some really good color combinations that I just love the piece. Finally decided to finish Sleeping Beauty as I am literally dragging this for quite a number of years. Yes I started this during Aug of 2006. The blog world has been a great inspiration and now I am all charged to finish this Beauty.

There is not really much work.....except beading. It should take probably around 5 hours maxiumum. So here are the latest pics of Sleeping Beauty.

Sleeping Beauty - as of 1/11/2012

A close up picture of the princess.
Bought a new Lap frame for the first time (it is a nightmare to work on beading using hoops. Realized it while doing Cinderella). So here is the princess ready for the beading.
SB fitted my new lap frame.....ready for beading :)
Hope to finish the piece atleast by end of this month (Hum too long isn't it....but I have some priorities that I have to handle so this might be on a slow burner).

My son's name plate

Here is another design that I got framed from Nick's frame shop. I bought the alphabets while I visited Las Vegas 4 years back and finally now was able to get the framing done. Will be in my house in few more weeks.

Love the finishing :)

Happy Stitching..........

Tah-Dah.....Cinderally ready to take its place

So excited to see the framed "Cinderella". I started this project after knowing that my sis is expecting and wanted to gift it to her. And I am glad that my sis liked it a lot......

Cinderella returned home on 1/9/2011

Will be updating some more close up shots taken during the day time......

Here is a comment that got from Prathi(Sis) :

Picture can't do any justice to this art work. You should see it for real to cherish the real beauty. It's simply awesome!! Love you!!

Happy Dancing..... Happy Stitching. :)

Going slow on stitching front

I guess I will have to go slow on the stitching side. Have got some priorities on my personal front that I need to give preference to. Now that the pattern, fabby and the beads have arrived for the Spring Queen, I might go and do some shopping for the DMC threads in Hobby Lobby. Haven't ever used any Q-Snaps or any thing like that other than regular hoops. Yes I only have 2 hoops and I managed to do Sleeping Beaty and Cinderella with these 2 hoops. Cross stitching is easy using the hoops but when it comes to beading, it turned out to be a night mare. So try out the using Qsnaps for Spring Queen. ;)

I might be doing some thing small for one of cousins soon. Not sure when and what design yet.

Happy Stitching........

Country Farmer - with color stains :(

Here is one of the pieces that I stitched couple of years back when I just started doing cross stitching. Once the stitching is complete, I washed the piece(totally out of ignorace).....I agree it is the most stupidest thing. Now seeing the piece, my heart really sinks.

Do you have any ideas on how to get those red color stains (near the apples and the head of the roster). I love this piece and want to finish it into something but seeing the stains I am backing off..... :(

I don't know what is the name of this pattern - so just made it up as Country Farmer. So here is the stained piece. Any suggestions are highly appreciable.........

So here is the completed piece so far....(Waiting to be framed).....

Need to to think on which one should I start next. How about Spring Queen(very tempting to start on it) ? Or should I finish Sleeping Beauty.....Hum.....let me think.

Hurray .....Spring Queen material has been delivered

Wow.....looks like today is really pleasant......nice cool weather (with high 52 - in Chicago and that too in the month of Jan) and cute bunny baby WIP going faster.......

To top it off, the material for Spring Queen has just been delivered. The pattern is stunningly beautiful.Couldn't control myself to start the work.........But I will have to hold off until I finish my beading work on Sleeping Beauty. Else Sleeping Beauty will be never be complete.

Happy Stitching.....

Enjoying pleasant Chicago weather with Bunny baby

What a pleasant day it is here in Chicago........ Jan 6th(supposed to be peak winter with snow all over) and today's high temp is 52 degrees.....Went for a walk to enjoy the winter weather.........Very unusual during this period but truly awesome...... (Hum wait a min, should we be concerned that  global warming is taking its toll......)

Finally with few more hours of stitching, the cute little bunny is now ready. Didn't realize that the thread for the bow (backstitch) is missing. But other than that the flowers and leaves in the flower pot is pending. Looks like the pattern should be completed by this weekend. Wondering if I can add few wordings at the top..........

Bunny baby - further update

With another 6 more hours, I was able to get the bow, flower pot and the outline for bunny......This pattern seems to be a euick and easy one......and is moving much faster than expected........Love the color and the pattern. Planning to do few more Ellen Maurer patterns......

Bunny Baby - Rework started

So as planned, I started restitching Bunny Baby with a 2 thread.......Started on 1/1/12. It is much easier to stitch with a 2 thread rather than a 3 count. (Using a 3 thread is a pain and will never do that again).

For the first time, I started stitching the patter from the bottom.....AsI bought quite  a big 16 ct fabric and I didn't want to waste the fabric. So left around 3 inches on the bottom right corner and started from the bottom.......This pattern seems to be moving quite fast especially after stitching Cinderella on a 32 ct fabric. Hopefully in another 10 days, I should be able to finish the whole pattern.

So here is the update that I have so far........

New Year stitching update

Let me first wish all my readers a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2012......Hope you all are having fun stitching something new or something very interesting in this new year.

Now that I ordered the chart, fabric, Mill Hill Beads and Krinik threads for Spring Queen (fell in love the moment I saw the stitched pattern), I made a list of the required DMC threads needed for this project. Can't wait to start doing this beautiful project. Also I cleaned up the threads and arranged them for easy access. Here is a pic of my stash that I have collected so far..... :)

Stash at the beginning of Year 2012

I am all set to restart my Bunny Baby. Rearranged all the needed threads and the fabric. Hopefully I will start this sometime today or tomorrow.

Happy Stitching..... :)
